The cleaning and security team at Market Place Shopping Centre received the Community award for their wonderful initiative, the chatty bench. Launched in January, the chatty bench invites community members who feel lonely or just want a chat to sit and engage with the team. This initiative has made many customers feel ‘loved and appreciated’, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the centre.
The chatty bench initiative has brought a much-needed sense of community to the mall. The feedback from our customers has been fantastic, and it’s heartening to see the positive impact it has had. Our cleaning and security team’s dedication to making everyone feel valued is truly commendable.
